Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the registrar of births and deaths shall apply to the Maintenance Tribunal in Form II for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees, and the Maintenance Tribunal shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within ninety days of the application.
