Custody of the register.—The register maintained under these rules shall be kept at the office of the Commanding Officer of the Unit in the custody of the Station Staff Officer, shall be bound and its pages numbered, and shall not be removed from that office except on the written order of the Commanding Officer of the Unit; and where the Station Staff Officer having custody of it is succeeded by another, an entry recording the transfer of custody shall be made in Form A within sixty days of the succession.
