Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the keeper of a commercial establishment shall apply to the Chief Inspector in Form VII for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of two hundred and fifty rupees, and the Chief Inspector shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within ten days of the application.
