Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the landlord shall apply to the Adjudicating Officer in Form C for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of twenty-five thousand rupees, and the Adjudicating Officer shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within forty-five days of the application.
