Custody of the register.—The register maintained under these rules shall be kept at the office of the Directorate of Treasuries in the custody of the Treasury Officer, shall be bound and its pages numbered, and shall not be removed from that office except on the written order of the Directorate of Treasuries; and where the Treasury Officer having custody of it is succeeded by another, an entry recording the transfer of custody shall be made in Form GFR 40 within twenty-one days of the succession.
