Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the holder of benami property shall apply to the Sub-Registrar in Form 6 for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees, and the Sub-Registrar shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within three hundred and sixty-five days of the application.
