Application for registration.—Every owner of a vessel carrying on the operation of a vessel shall make an application for registration to the Inland Waterways Authority in Form 2, within forty-five days of the commencement of these rules, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees and a statement of every ship held by him on the date of the application, and shall keep a copy of the application and of the statement for seven days from that date.
