Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the common carrier shall apply to the Motor Accidents Claims Tribunal in Form 1 for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of two hundred rupees, and the Motor Accidents Claims Tribunal shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within thirty days of the application.
