Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the person removing earth from Government land shall apply to the Sub-Divisional Officer in Form 2 for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees, and the Sub-Divisional Officer shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within ninety days of the application.
