Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the landholder shall apply to the Sub-Divisional Officer in Form 5 for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of ten rupees, and the Sub-Divisional Officer shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within one hundred and twenty days of the application.
