Manner of service of orders.—An order or notice under these rules shall be served on the policy-holder to whom it is addressed by delivering it to him personally, by registered post with acknowledgement due at the address specified in Form IRDA-3, or by electronic mail at the address furnished by him; and the Council of Insurers shall record the manner and the date of service within sixty days of the service.
