Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the importer of goods bearing a mark shall apply to the Registrar in Form 2 for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of eight thousand rupees, and the Registrar shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within fourteen days of the application.
