Custody of the register.—The register maintained under these rules shall be kept at the office of the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests in the custody of the Wild Life Warden, shall be bound and its pages numbered, and shall not be removed from that office except on the written order of the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests; and where the Wild Life Warden having custody of it is succeeded by another, an entry recording the transfer of custody shall be made in Form VIII within one hundred and eighty days of the succession.
