Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the owner of a building in a village shall apply to the Zila Parishad in Form 5 for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees, and the Zila Parishad shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within fourteen days of the application.
