Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the displaced person shall apply to the Land Acquisition Officer in Form 4 for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of two hundred and fifty rupees, and the Land Acquisition Officer shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within thirty days of the application.
