Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the officer of a company shall apply to the Serious Fraud Investigation Office in Form PAS-3 for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees, and the Serious Fraud Investigation Office shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within one hundred and eighty days of the application.
