Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the operator of a passport service centre shall apply to the Citizenship Committee in Form C for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees, and the Citizenship Committee shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within forty-five days of the application.
