Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the nominee of an insured person shall apply to the Commissioner in Form 2 for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees, and the Commissioner shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within seven days of the application.
