Surrender of certificate.—Every political party who ceases to carry on the functioning of a political party shall, within seven days of such cessation, surrender the certificate of registration to the Chief Electoral Officer in person or by registered post, and shall inform it in Form 26 of the manner in which every nomination paper held by him has been disposed of.
