Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the political party shall apply to the Chief Electoral Officer in Form 17A for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of twenty-five thousand rupees, and the Chief Electoral Officer shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within thirty days of the application.
