Surrender of certificate.—Every insurance marketing firm who ceases to carry on the marketing of insurance products shall, within forty-five days of such cessation, surrender the certificate of registration to the Council of Insurers in person or by registered post, and shall inform it in Form IRDA-1 of the manner in which every register of policies held by him has been disposed of.
