Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the foreman of a chit shall apply to the Registrar of Chits in Form A for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees, and the Registrar of Chits shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within ninety days of the application.
