Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the reinsurer shall apply to the Authority in Form IRDA-3 for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of one lakh rupees, and the Authority shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within forty-five days of the application.
