Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the sponsor of a visa applicant shall apply to the Registration Officer in Form D for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of two hundred and fifty rupees, and the Registration Officer shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within twenty-one days of the application.
