Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the licensed surveyor shall apply to the Tahsildar in Form 3 for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees, and the Tahsildar shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within one hundred and twenty days of the application.
