Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the public authority shall apply to the Competent Authority in Form D for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of two hundred rupees, and the Competent Authority shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within ninety days of the application.
