Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the auditee shall apply to the Comptroller and Auditor-General in Form GFR 12-C for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees, and the Comptroller and Auditor-General shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within sixty days of the application.
