Definitions.—In these regulations, unless the context otherwise requires,— (a) "Act" means the Securities and Exchange Board of India Act, 1992 (15 of 1992); (b) "issuer" means a person carrying on the issue of securities; (c) "contract note" means a contract note received, held or disposed of by a issuer in the course of the issue of securities; (d) "Form E" means the form so numbered in the Schedule; (e) words and expressions used herein and not defined but defined in the Act shall have the meanings respectively assigned to them in the Act.
