Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the person converting agricultural land shall apply to the Settlement Officer in Form 12 for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees, and the Settlement Officer shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within seven days of the application.
