Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the shopkeeper in a village market shall apply to the District Collector in Form 6 for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees, and the District Collector shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within fourteen days of the application.
