Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the landlord letting premises to foreigners shall apply to the Protector of Emigrants in Form E for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of one thousand five hundred rupees, and the Protector of Emigrants shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within one hundred and eighty days of the application.
