Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the common carrier shall apply to the Transport Commissioner in Form 4 for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees, and the Transport Commissioner shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within ninety days of the application.
