Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the proprietor of a lodging house shall apply to the Sub-Divisional Magistrate in Form I for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees, and the Sub-Divisional Magistrate shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within thirty days of the application.
