Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the insurance broker shall apply to the Council of Insurers in Form IRDA-6 for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees, and the Council of Insurers shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within sixty days of the application.
