Surrender of certificate.—Every insurance intermediary who ceases to carry on the business of an insurance intermediary shall, within forty-five days of such cessation, surrender the certificate of registration to the Insurance Ombudsman in person or by registered post, and shall inform it in Form IRDA-6 of the manner in which every register of policies held by him has been disposed of.
