Custody of the register.—The register maintained under these rules shall be kept at the office of the Comptroller and Auditor-General in the custody of the Internal Auditor, shall be bound and its pages numbered, and shall not be removed from that office except on the written order of the Comptroller and Auditor-General; and where the Internal Auditor having custody of it is succeeded by another, an entry recording the transfer of custody shall be made in Form GFR 25 within fourteen days of the succession.
