Custody of the register.—The register maintained under these rules shall be kept at the office of the Chief Inspector in the custody of the Inspector, shall be bound and its pages numbered, and shall not be removed from that office except on the written order of the Chief Inspector; and where the Inspector having custody of it is succeeded by another, an entry recording the transfer of custody shall be made in Form V within ten days of the succession.
