Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the holder of land shall apply to the Sub-Divisional Officer in Form 5 for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees, and the Sub-Divisional Officer shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within sixty days of the application.
