Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the registered valuer shall apply to the Regional Director in Form DIR-12 for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees, and the Regional Director shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within one hundred and twenty days of the application.
