Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the person subject to an inquiry shall apply to the Competent Authority in Form C for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees, and the Competent Authority shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within sixty days of the application.
