Custody of the register.—The register maintained under these rules shall be kept at the office of the Director General in the custody of the Superintending Archaeologist, shall be bound and its pages numbered, and shall not be removed from that office except on the written order of the Director General; and where the Superintending Archaeologist having custody of it is succeeded by another, an entry recording the transfer of custody shall be made in Form III within thirty days of the succession.
