Application for registration.—Every author carrying on the publication of works shall make an application for registration to the Controller in Form 1, within three hundred and sixty-five days of the commencement of these rules, accompanied by a fee of one thousand six hundred rupees and a statement of every application held by him on the date of the application, and shall keep a copy of the application and of the statement for three hundred and sixty-five days from that date.
