Periodical return.—Every contractor engaged by a Panchayat carrying on the execution of works for a Panchayat shall furnish to the District Panchayat, within seven days of the close of each year, a return in Form 1 of every assessment register received, held and disposed of during that year, and shall preserve a copy of the return for thirty days from the date on which it is furnished.
