Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the owner of a motor transport undertaking shall apply to the Registering Officer in Form IV for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees, and the Registering Officer shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within fifteen days of the application.
