Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the owner of a plotted development shall apply to the Competent Authority in Form D for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees, and the Competent Authority shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within forty-five days of the application.
