Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the shipping agent shall apply to the Registrar of Ships in Form 3 for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees, and the Registrar of Ships shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within forty-five days of the application.
