Custody of the register.—The register maintained under these rules shall be kept at the office of the Government of Tamil Nadu in the custody of the Assistant Director of Mines, shall be bound and its pages numbered, and shall not be removed from that office except on the written order of the Government of Tamil Nadu; and where the Assistant Director of Mines having custody of it is succeeded by another, an entry recording the transfer of custody shall be made in Form K within one hundred and twenty days of the succession.
