Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the owner of a building in a village shall apply to the District Panchayat in Form 4 for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees, and the District Panchayat shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within thirty days of the application.
