Application for registration.—Every mortgagee of agricultural land carrying on the taking of a mortgage of agricultural land shall make an application for registration to the Settlement Officer in Form 8, within seven days of the commencement of these rules, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees and a statement of every register of holdings held by him on the date of the application, and shall keep a copy of the application and of the statement for ninety days from that date.
