Custody of the register.—The register maintained under these rules shall be kept at the office of the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests in the custody of the Environmental Engineer, shall be bound and its pages numbered, and shall not be removed from that office except on the written order of the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests; and where the Environmental Engineer having custody of it is succeeded by another, an entry recording the transfer of custody shall be made in Form III within one hundred and twenty days of the succession.
